Lyman Morse Begins Work on Deerfoot 70'
We're happy to announce our new project with Ulf Rogeberg, a Norwegian designer based in Copenhagen. This Deerfoot 70' is scheduled for completion in September 2010.
The purpose of this sailing yacht is to provide a safe and manageable vessel to the owner's family for sailing offshore on extended trips. The interior aesthetics of the boat will represent a traditional look and feel, but she will be built to modern standards in every respect. The boat is to be a real cruising boat simple in every detail not only to remain within budget, but to make the boat easier to handle and maintain.
We're pulling the hull mold today so that hull construction can begin in mid-April. Below are some pictures from the activity. More updates to come, but you can always go to http://www.lymanmorse.com/boatDetails.php?boatID=59 for specs & construction photos as the project progresses.
